Delivering a Piece of Potato History

Idaho’s potato industry relies heavily on freight rail to deliver its world famous potatoes.  Each year, freight rail ships approximately 12,000 car loads of potatoes aboard refrigerated rail cars, efficiently and cost-effectively. Railroads have such a significant place in potato history, the Idaho Potato Museum is located in the old Oregon Railroad depot in Blackfoot, ID.
