Virginia is for Train Lovers

Between the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Chesapeake Bay, Virginia is a playground for lovers of the great outdoors, history and sandy beaches. In keeping with its topography, this state also enjoys a diverse economy with contributions from the farming, mining, military and business industries. The state’s nine freight railroads move large amounts of consumer goods, gravel and stone and coal with Norfolk serving as the leading U.S. port for coal exports. The old adage is true; Virginia is for (train) lovers.
